Product Description
One of the most prolific editors and writers of erotica today, Alison Tyler has assembled Pleasure Bound, 22 steamy stories of partners in the throes of pleasurable restraint. Intricately secured by ropes, locked in handcuffs, wrapped in leather, or bound simply by a lover’s command, these men and women crave control, whether given or received. From start to finish, this solid collection of BDSM stories earns its kinky merit badge for its explicit tales of pleasure and pain. Featuring work by Thomas Roche, Diana St. John, Sommer Marsden, Shanna Germain, and other erotic masters, the stories grab the reader and leave them begging for more — and bound and determined to turn their own bondage fantasies into tigh… More >>

In the introduction to Pleasure Bound: True Bondage Stories, Alison Tyler says,”Be prepared to be moved. Be prepared to be stunned.” Once again she does not disappoint. I was stunned quite a few times and moved with each story.
The stories in this anthology are hot and sexy. But, it’s more than that. They are powerful and passionate, painful and pleasurable. Reading these true accounts of dominance and submission will leave the reader changed. Each story stands alone as a great story but the collection, as a whole, takes you on a complete journey into the world of BDSM.
Whether you’re new to bondage or a well-seasoned participant, there is a story here for you. Apart from great writing and great stories, I like that there really is something for everyone. I have four favorites from this book: Bella Dean’s “King of the Road”; Tess Danesi’s “All Kinds of Tears”; Thomas S. Roche’s “Ghosts of the Wildflower”; and, of course, Alison Tyler’s own “Stickler for Details”. The fact that these are true stories just makes it that much hotter and that much more unforgettable!
I love bondage stories and this book goes to the top of my list. Thanks Alison for another favorite read. One can never have too many of those! Am I right?

Okay, you’ve heard that line before.
“Based on a true story”
All of the stories in Ms. Tyler’s latest collection, Pleasure Bound, are based on actual events. Names have been changed, but as Ms. Tyler says in the introduction “there are no innocents here to protect”.
What you do get is nearly two dozen tasty BDSM stories. Most of them are of the man dominating woman variety, but not all of them. In any event, the primary audience for Ms. Tyler’s books and stories IS women, and on those grounds, this collection serves its purpose admirably.
The quality of the stories is uniformly high in terms of writing. In terms of kink, if BDSM is your kink, you will find more than one or two stories here that will sizzle for you.
I could have wished for more woman dominating men (and others might wish for more man on man or woman on woman) stories, however, the anthology was more than satisfactory for me nevertheless. I especially liked Bella Dean’s “King of the Road” and Jax Baynard’s “Calling David Hasselhoff”.
I also liked Ms. Tyler’s own entry in her anthology: “Stickler for Details”, clearly based on her own life. She did not change her own name in the story, she is fully a character, a little meta-detail which adds a nice little frisson to it.
Fans of Ms Tyler’s previous anthologies should not miss this one.

Tyler, Alison (editor). “Pleasure Bound: True Bondage Stories”, Cleis Press, 2009.
True Kink

Kinky sex is something that many of us think about but few of us dare to practice. In “Pleasure Bound”, we have a collection of twenty-three stories that are extremely erotic and very well written. The stories all deal with “pleasurable restraint” and whatever forms that takes from handcuffs and whips to oral commands. The stories are all true and we enter the world of BDSM. What I found so interesting is the fact that the stories are all non-fiction and that makes them all the more erotic, As the blurb says, these stories are “punishingly good” …and will have us “begging for more”.

I like the cover, but unfortunately it’s all down hill after that. If you’re expecting stories about erotic bondage (as the cover would suggest) then DON’T buy this book. There is very little erotic bondage, and only a couple of moderately erotic stories. Some of the stories are gross, and tasteless.

I might as well have been bound and gagged while I read through this anthology. I barely put it down to go to work. Well, actually, that’s a lie, I took it to work and read it on breaks and lunch. The fact that the tales were true only ratcheted up my captivation.
From Alison Tyler’s exquisite introduction to Once More Beneath the Exit Sign by Stephen Elliott and everywhere in between the stories grab you, hold you, thrill you and conquer you. My personal favorites were Kristina Wright’s Campfire Story and Shanna Germain’s Deal, but I’m certain more will join their ranks when I reread this luscious volume.
Too hot to hold and too hot to put down, this one is definitely staying on my naughty shelf!
